The old house on the mountain
Boco is only a few minutes from Domodossola. A jewel in the green of the Alps thanks to its inhabitants – just a few families – united by the desire to live their little town. Every summer, for the event “Boco Dipinta” they invite artists to donate a work inspired to a local theme (proverbs, the Saints that give their name to the nearby mountain hamlets…).
These works, arranged outdoors and on the walls of the houses, become “part” of the town, so that it will not be forgotten, and it “grows” in quality.

Last summer I was invited by my friend Tino, owner of the library “The Memory of the World” in Magenta, to take some pictures for his new project (despite the age, Tino has more energy than a kid): an eco-museum where they will place the photographs of the places and people that, otherwise, would be lost. The occasion was the reopening of an old house remained uninhabited for several decades. Immersed in a religious silence, we found a humble gesture of humanity: on the table, the last resident had left the future a bottle of wine with two glasses.
